iTunes Accounts Without A Credit Card?
By Hillary Smith • Mar 11th, 2008 • Customer RatingWe get this question a lot here, especially from young people. Can you open an iTunes account without a credit card? The answer is yes and there are a few ways you can do it. You could always purchase an iTunes gift voucher from the apple store. The only problem with this is that once the card is used, it’s finished and you cannot top it up or purchase any more songs or videos.
The second and more popular option is to use a prepaid mastercard. A prepaid mastercard is probably the best way to get an iTunes account without a credit card.
For those of you under 18s, we recommend either the Virgin Prepaid Mastercard and for those over 18 looking for a slightly better deal we recommend the Tuxedo card or the very popular cashplus prepaid mastercard. The prepaid card lets you put money on the card to use exactly like a credit card except you can only spend what you have on the card.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from the 3v card and wirecard. These cards will cause you trouble and are very, VERY expensive and a lot of people have learned the hard way. Do not make the mistake of opening an iTunes account with a 3v card. There are too many horror stories.
So now that you applied for your prepaid mastercard, you can simply top up at your local post office or online any time you want to use iTunes or download music. With your prepaid card, according to apple, you have a credit card except none of the trouble that comes with one. Literally millions of people use prepaid mastercards to activate their iTunes accounts. You should too.
Below are the three prepaid, guaranteed acceptance cards we recommend for opening an itunes account with.

Hi Hillary, I got my cashplus card today (thanks for the reccomendation) and I have already opened my itunes account. Just a word of warning, you ahve to activate the card so you cannot use it iummediately which is a little frustrating. The fact that it is garanteed acceptance is a plus too!
Thanks again, and for anyone reading this, I’d go with the cashplus prepaid card, it is great
I am only 14 an I opened my itunes account with the virgin card. Works well A+
